Day 4: Bring yesterday’s word back

Repeat a small section. Compare two attempts and ask your child which one is easier to read.

Let them point out the difference before you do.

Day 5: Try another familiar word

Move to another cricket word in the pack. Keep the same focus on line position or size, whichever still needs attention.

A new word does not need to mean a new instruction.

Day 6: Reprint where needed

If a particular sheet needs another go, print it again for your child. There is no pressure to move ahead just because the first copy has been used.

Day 7: Look back, then keep it short

Place an earlier attempt beside a later one. Look for a specific difference, if there is one.
