How to write the letter E in cursive
Capitals and small letters, Rs 149Interiors are still being drawn, so this is a reservation through the contact page. No payment until the file is ready to send.
Capital E is two curves stacked. Start below line 1, curve back to the left, make the smaller top loop, then the larger bottom loop that finishes on line 3. Small e is one loop in the middle space: slant up, loop back on itself, then round down to line 3 with a joining tail.
What to watch on four-line copy
- The lower half of capital E is bigger than the upper half.
- The loop of small e stays open. A pinched loop fills in and becomes a blob once the child writes at speed.
- e is the most common letter in English words, so it earns more practice time than x or q.
The mistake to correct first
Starting small e at the top, the way print e is drawn with a bar. Cursive e begins at the bottom with an upward slant that runs into the loop.
Practice strip
Trace the shape three times slowly, then write the pair on your own four-line copy. Two minutes a day beats one long session on Sunday.
