How to write the letter K in cursive
Capitals and small letters, Rs 149Interiors are still being drawn, so this is a reservation through the contact page. No payment until the file is ready to send.
Capital K has a down stroke from line 1 to line 3, then a slanted arm that comes in from the top right, pinches at the middle, and kicks out to line 3. Small k is tall: stem from line 1 down to line 3, a small loop at middle height, then a leg that kicks out and lands on line 3.
What to watch on four-line copy
- The arm meets the stem at the middle, not at the top.
- The kicking leg lands on line 3, in the same place the stem lands.
- Small k and small h get confused at speed. h has an arch, k has a loop and a kick.
The mistake to correct first
The arm and the leg drawn as one straight diagonal across the stem. In cursive they meet the stem and change direction there, which is what gives k its shape.
Practice strip
Trace the shape three times slowly, then write the pair on your own four-line copy. Two minutes a day beats one long session on Sunday.
Every capital and small letter on four-line pages, in the order schools teach them. The interiors are still being drawn, so reserve a copy through the contact page.
