How to write the letter L in cursive
Capitals and small letters, Rs 149Interiors are still being drawn, so this is a reservation through the contact page. No payment until the file is ready to send.
Capital L starts with a loop below line 1, sweeps down to line 3, then finishes with a flat curve to the right that runs into the next letter. Small l is the simplest tall letter: one narrow loop from line 1 down to line 3, then a short exit hook on the base line.
What to watch on four-line copy
- Keep the loop narrow. A fat loop reads as an e stretched tall.
- Small l goes right up to line 1, unlike t, which stops a little short.
- Two l letters together, as in ball, need equal loops. The second one usually comes out smaller.
The mistake to correct first
Small l written as a straight stick copied from print. Cursive l keeps its loop, and the loop is what allows the letter to join.
